On September 20, 2025, Earthshore Foundation proudly joined the International Coastal Cleanup at Manila Dolomite Beach in partnership with DENR Philippines. As part of our mission of saving our ocean for our children and slowing down climate change, we mobilized a dedicated team of volunteers to make a measurable difference.
Mobilizing Volunteers for Ocean Impact
The Earthshore Foundation team began as early as 5:00 AM, with 33 volunteers ready to take action. Assigned to Station 9, our team went above and beyond—staying until every bag of waste was collected and ensuring the shoreline remained active until the very end.
This hands-on dedication reflects Earthshore’s commitment to tackling marine debris head-on and engaging communities in ocean conservation.
Measurable Results: Cleaner Beaches, Healthier Oceans
During this cleanup, Earthshore volunteers successfully collected:
- 275 kilograms (606 pounds) of marine debris removed from Manila Dolomite Beach
- 33 community members engaged in direct climate action
- Full shoreline coverage, as our volunteers stayed until all cleanup operations were complete
These results are more than just numbers—they are a real step toward saving our ocean for our children, protecting marine life, and supporting sustainable seafood.
Why This Work Matters
Pollution along our coasts harms marine ecosystems, threatens food security, and accelerates climate impacts. By removing plastics and waste, Earthshore Foundation helps create healthier oceans and resilient communities.
This effort is part of our larger mission of slowing down climate change through local action, global partnerships, and environmental education.
Next Steps for Earthshore
The September 20 cleanup is just the beginning. Earthshore is preparing to expand our efforts into a year-round Coastal Cleanup Program that includes:
- Volunteer training and mobilization
- Data-driven reporting on marine debris
- Partnerships with coastal municipalities, schools, and seafood businesses
- Environmental education that inspires the next generation
With proper support, Earthshore can scale this impact nationwide.
